Jaime P. Dejuras is the Principal of the Dejuras Management Group, Inc., which is a private, family owned corporation engaged in the ownership, operation, and management of multi-unit Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins restaurants since 1990, as well as management and leasing of residential and commercial properties. Currently, the company owns ten Dunkin’ and six Baskin-Robbins in the northwest side of the City and in the Illinois Medical District. He is also a partner in the Midwest Food Manufacturing, the second biggest donut production facility in the Dunkin’ systems serving over 200 Dunkin’ restaurants. He is the former Chief Financial Officer of California Donuts King, LLC., a Dunkin’ franchisee in the Northern California, with six operating Dunkin’ shops. His other interest include minority shares in 2nd Gen Investment Group, an owner, manager and operator of another twelve Dunkin’ shops in Illinois.
Jaime opened the second combo Dunkin/Baskin store in the Midwest in 1994 and subsequently purchased the first such Combo. In seeing the complimentary habits of the gas station and Dunkin customers, he pioneered the opening of the first full service Dunkin/Baskin store located in a gas station 20 years ago.
From the time that Dunkin’ Brands, Inc., the parent company of Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins, had officially recognized the franchisees’ contribution to the the brand name on a national level, Jaime had been the recipient of President’s Award for Multi-Unit Retail Excellence in years 1999, 2000 and 2002. He was also awarded the Founder’s Award for Superior Leadership for three consecutive years in 2003 to 2005.
He has served in various positions in the Dunkin’ Brands franchisee leadership including the Co-chair of the District Advisory Council and Vice-chair of the Market Leadership Council. He served for several years as Board of Directors of the Dunkin’ Donuts Midwest Independent Franchisee Organization.
He was awarded the “Buhayani” award by his hometown of Calamba, Laguna for his contribution to the City and its citizens for best emulating the works and ideals of Dr. Jose P. Rizal. . Most recently, Jaime was appointed to represent the Dunkin’ Brands to serve in the Small Business Task Force of the Illinois Retail Merchants Association. In April, 2009, he was awarded the Outstanding Filipino American Businessman award by the PACCGC.
Locally, he was a founding member of the Friends of the Humboldt Park Library and a strong supporter of the Block Club Federation. He is a member of several chamber of commerce associations including the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Chicago.
Jaime graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Santo Tomas. He was a Certified Public Accountant in the Philippines and in the State of Illinois.
