About This Event
Don’t let food go overboard! Set sail with us for an unforgettable evening on the Chicago River. SOS: Save Our Supper brings together celebrated AAPI chefs, many representing Southeast Asian culinary traditions, for a sunset tasting cruise aboard a private Wendella boat.
Every dish tells a story of culture, craft, and community, and every ticket helps power RLC’s mission: rescuing excess food from Chicago’s restaurants, grocers, and events, and getting it to neighbors facing food insecurity across the city.
Because when good food is headed for the landfill, we believe rescue should be the standard, not the exception.
Join us for a night of incredible food, skyline views, and a cause worth celebrating.
What to expect:
- A full tasting program from standout AAPI chefs
- Open bar aboard a private Wendella cruise
- DJ set with sunset views along the Chicago River
- A night that directly supports food rescue in Chicago
About The Evening
Boarding begins at 5:30 PM at the Ping Tom Park dock. The boat departs promptly at 6:00 PM, so please arrive early.
Late arrivals cannot be accommodated once we have left the dock.
Once on board, the evening is yours. Move between the three chefs’ tasting stations, enjoy the open bar, and mingle with fellow guests, sponsors, and the chefs themselves as we cruise the river.
The cruise returns to Ping Tom Park at 8:00 PM. Seating is limited to 80 guests.
Tickets
General Admission: $100
Full tasting program featuring all chefs, plus open bar, aboard a private Wendella cruise on the Chicago River.
VIP Admission: $150
A full tasting program from standout AAPI chefs. Priority boarding and access to Reserved VIP reserved seating areas.

Rescuing Leftover Cuisine (RLC) is a 501(c)(3) food rescue nonprofit connecting excess food from donors to neighbors facing food insecurity. Our vision is a world where food rescue is the universal standard, not the exception. AAPI Network is a 501(c)(3), the fundraising partner for RLC. 100% of the proceeds of this event will be donated to RLC.
